We are currently seeking a dynamic Bar Back to join our dedicated team. This role plays a critical support function in the daily operations of our bar service, working closely with bartenders and cocktail staff to ensure seamless service delivery. The Bar Back is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, organizing bar supplies, and assisting with the setup and teardown of the bar area before, during, and after shifts. In addition to these tasks, the role involves interacting courteously with guests, understanding and promoting the variety of menu items and hotel services, and adhering strictly to alcohol service guidelines. This position requires flexibility as the candidate must be available to work various shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays, matching the demands of our busy service schedule.
The ideal candidate will bring a minimum of one year of experience in a similar bar support role, demonstrating a strong work ethic, excellent memorization skills, and an ability to multitask effectively. Physical stamina is essential, as the job involves standing for extended periods, walking, lifting, and performing repetitive hand and foot actions. Safety and sanitation are priorities, so the candidate must be diligent about maintaining a clean work environment and following proper procedures for handling chemicals and equipment. This role is fundamental in enhancing guest satisfaction and supporting the smooth operation of our bar area, contributing significantly to the overall success of our hospitality services.

Job Requirements
- Minimum one year experience as a bar back or combination of education, training, or experience
- Must be a minimum of 21 years of age
- Ability to perform simple reading, writing, and math
- Ability to follow instructions and make independent decisions
- Physical ability to stand, walk, reach overhead, bend, crouch, push, pull, and lift up to 100lbs
- Must maintain an appropriate Alcohol Awareness card
- Ability to work flexible shifts including holidays and weekends
Job Qualifications
- Minimum one year experience as a bar back or any combination of education, training, or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities
- Ability to remember, recite, and promote the variety of menu items and hotel services
- Ability of simple reading, writing, math, and task completion skills is required
- Must have skills in following instructions, memorization, problem solving, independent judgment, and decision making
- Flexible working all shifts including holidays, nights, and weekend hours
Job Duties
- Assist the bartender(s) and cocktail staff in performance of their duties
- Maintain proper and adequate set-up of bar on a daily basis including before, during, and after shift
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of guest areas and equipment at all times during shift including removing empty glasses/bottles, cleaning ashtrays, picking up and dumping garbage, sweeping and mopping floors, sanitizing equipment, re-fill ice and beer bins, and utilizing ice machines
- Maintain and organize bar
- Greet guests in a courteous, friendly manner and provide excellent guest service
- Know guidelines for serving alcohol with care
- Know and convey hotel activities to guests
- Maintain and organize bars and storerooms
- Refill chemicals such as hand soap or glass washer chemicals and operate a glassware washing machine
- Answer phones
- Maintain proper inventory of products
- Maintain a neat, professional image and appearance at all times
- Any other duties as assigned within the scope of this position
