Job Requirements
- Must be 18 years or older to operate balers, hi-lo's, power jacks and slicing machines
- ability to work all assigned work schedules and comply with all time and attendance policies
- maintain punctual and regular attendance
- work overtime as assigned
- ability to follow company policies and safety requirements
- adherence to all local, state and federal health and civil code regulations
Job Qualifications
- Ability to proficiently read, write, speak, analyze, interpret and understand the English language
- ability to stand/walk for the duration of a scheduled shift
- ability to bend, twist, reach, push, pull and regularly lift 25 lbs, and occasionally lift 50 lbs
- ability to work in varying temperatures
- ability to work with fresh, dried or processed products and tolerate dust and cleaning agents
- ability to interact with customers in a friendly and helpful way
- ability to work cooperatively with others
Job Duties
- Maintain a clean, neat, organized and safe work environment
- maintain department sanitation and QA standards
- clean and sanitize all work surfaces, utensils and equipment according to standards
- keep floor clear of debris and spills
- greet all customers and provide prompt, courteous service
- maintain and properly use all department equipment
- pack out product into display cases
- rotate product to ensure freshness
- ensure accurate signage for the department
- prepare trays to company and customer satisfaction
- perform duties in accordance with all applicable regulations
- dress and groom according to company policy
- follow QA hand washing standards and use disposable gloves
- follow recipes and operate bakery equipment
- prepare special order requests
- track sales on production logs
- take inventory and order supplies
- place reclamation properly
- lift, pull, push and rotate merchandise
- unload trucks and transport merchandise
- check prices and product locations
- promote current charitable promotions
- stand for entire shift
- receive deliveries
- assist other departments
- follow company safety and chemical handling programs
- adhere to company policies and health regulations
- handle damaged and spoiled products
- understand and apply shrink guidelines
- maintain equipment and report problems
- check refrigeration equipment
- complete training programs
- maintain punctual attendance
- work overtime as assigned
- work cooperatively with others
- perform other duties as assigned
