The role of the Loader positions you at the heart of the shipping and receiving operations within Crown Bakeries. As a Loader, you will be responsible for ensuring that trucks are loaded and unloaded correctly, trays and dollies are handled carefully, and all materials moving in and out of the facility are accurately documented. This position requires following established protocols closely, including GMP compliance and maintaining sanitation standards by consistently cleaning and sanitizing hands to ensure product safety. The Loader will also be a critical contributor to production quality by monitoring product packaging, seal integrity, and correct product coding on shipments.

Your responsibilities will encompass a variety of physical tasks such as unloading trailers upon arrival, sweeping and organizing docks, managing product rotation for freshness using the first-in/first-out method, and maintaining a safe and clean work environment. You will be expected to handle heavy materials —some weighing up to 50 pounds—and operate trucks or yard dogs to move trailers on and off the property safely. This position requires diligent record-keeping through completion of load sheets, bills of lading (B.O.L.), and other required forms promptly and accurately. You will report any equipment malfunctions or personnel issues promptly to supervisors or engineering teams to ensure smooth operations.

Ideal candidates will have a background or familiarity with baking processes, equipment, and terminology, although this is not mandatory, as training will be provided. The role demands strong physical stamina to manage repetitive loading tasks within tight deadlines. Good communication skills and a commitment to company morale and teamwork are essential qualities for success in this position. Adherence to safety and health regulations, as well as a proactive attitude toward maintaining an orderly and efficient work environment, will be expected.
