Job Description

Wonder is an innovative and dynamic mealtime platform dedicated to making world-class food accessible to everyone, regardless of location. Operating as a unique culinary enterprise, Wonder offers the convenience of ordering from more than 20 exclusive restaurants with a single transaction, enabling customers to satisfy various cravings in one seamless experience. Customers can enjoy a wide array of cuisine options, including tacos, Thai dishes, and many others, all prepared fresh on-site by a skilled culinary team and served hot. Known for its blend of quality, variety, and technological innovation, Wonder manages every aspect of the dining experience—from recipe creation to delivery technology—to guarantee exceptional service and food quality. Committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion, Wonder employs an objective hiring process and participates in the federal E-Verify program to confirm employment eligibility, fostering a respectful and compliant workplace.

The role of Shift Supervisor at Wonder is a pivotal position that demands leadership and operational expertise within the kitchen and restaurant environment. Based at the Canton Crossing location, this full-time or part-time role offers a competitive pay rate of $20.00 per hour, with an overnight shift premium of $2.00 per hour for work conducted between midnight and 5 AM. As a Shift Supervisor, you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality food and an excellent customer experience by overseeing all kitchen operations during your shifts. This includes guiding restaurant team members through opening, prep, and closing procedures to maintain efficiency and top service standards. Collaboration with the chef leadership team and other departments is crucial to meet and exceed guest expectations consistently.

Your responsibilities will encompass receiving and processing kitchen orders and deliveries while adhering strictly to company protocol, managing inventory and supply levels, and maintaining safe and sanitary working conditions throughout the kitchen. You will also monitor kitchen operational costs against budget guidelines and ensure the proper use and maintenance of all kitchen equipment. Performing briefings before and after service with both front-of-house and back-of-house staff is essential to foster teamwork and communicate key information effectively.

Leadership style and professionalism are vital; you will be expected to model ethical behavior and uphold Wonder's standards as a role model to others. Furthermore, your participation in training, coaching, and development activities will contribute to the growth and performance improvement of restaurant employees, supporting Wonder’s commitment to career advancement and employee success. This position is suited for individuals who thrive in fast-paced environments, are detail-oriented, and are motivated by delivering efficient, accurate, and high-quality service. The role also requires physical stamina, including the ability to stand for full shifts and lift up to 50 pounds, and flexibility to work nights and weekends as needed. Joining Wonder as a Shift Supervisor means playing a crucial role in a forward-thinking food platform dedicated to making excellent dining experiences accessible and enjoyable for everyone.
