As a unique mealtime solution, Wonder allows customers to order from over 20 exclusive restaurants in one seamless transaction, blending a variety of dishes from taco favorites to Thai specialties—all delivered with zero delivery fees or accessible for dine-in and pickup at any Wonder location. The company prides itself on maintaining full control over the quality and consistency of every dish by owning and operating all parts of the dining experience, from recipe development to the advanced technology that powers the platform. This innovative approach ensures guests receive fresh, hot meals made to order by Wonder's expert culinary team.
At Wonder, diversity, equity, and inclusion are core to the company culture, reflected in its fair and objective hiring process which uses an Automated Employment Decision Tool (AEDT) to assess candidates based on potential. The company also actively participates in E-Verify to confirm employment eligibility, demonstrating its commitment to compliance and equal opportunity employment.
The Shift Supervisor role at Wonder is a pivotal position responsible for the smooth operation of kitchen activities to deliver the highest standard of food quality and service. With a competitive pay rate starting at $20.00 per hour and additional premiums for overnight shifts between midnight and 5 a.m., both full-time and part-time opportunities exist in the Eldersburg location. This role requires leadership, coordination, and hands-on involvement in managing team members through all phases of service—from opening and preparation to closing procedures.
Shift Supervisors work closely with the chef leadership team and other departments to ensure operational excellence and unparalleled guest satisfaction. They are tasked with processing kitchen orders and deliveries, maintaining stock levels, monitoring kitchen costs within budget guidelines, and ensuring all kitchen equipment is operational and used safely. The role also involves strict adherence to safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards as outlined in cleaning schedules and health regulations.
This leadership position demands a professional and ethical management style, strong communication skills, and a commitment to fostering team development through training, coaching, and motivation. The Shift Supervisor ensures all operational and quality standards are consistently met while cultivating a supportive and efficient work environment.
