Job Description
Wonder is an innovative dining platform dedicated to bringing world-class food within reach of everyone, no matter where they live. Operating as a unique mealtime platform, Wonder offers customers the ability to mix and match hundreds of dishes from over 20 exclusive restaurants, all in a single order. This allows for an unparalleled level of variety and customization that meets every diner’s craving, providing a seamless experience with zero delivery fees alongside options for dine-in or pickup at a nearby Wonder location. Each dish is carefully prepared on-site by Wonder’s culinary team, ensuring that meals are served fresh and hot every time. Beyond the dining experience, Wonder manages every aspect of the customer journey—from recipe development to the sophisticated technology powering the platform—guaranteeing consistent quality and operational efficiency at scale.
Wonder is seeking a dedicated Shift Supervisor to join their dynamic team in Worcester. This role is pivotal to the success of the kitchen operations, overseeing critical functions that ensure the highest food quality and excellent customer service standards. The position can be either full-time or part-time, offering a competitive pay rate of $20.00 per hour. Additionally, overnight shifts receive a $2.00 per hour premium for work conducted between midnight and 5:00 AM, recognizing the demands of late-hour operations.
As a Shift Supervisor, you will lead restaurant team members through all phases of their shift, including opening, preparation, service, and closing duties. The role requires active collaboration with the chef leadership team and other departments to deliver top-tier service and maintain smooth kitchen workflow. You will handle the receiving and processing of all kitchen orders and deliveries, strictly following company protocols to maintain inventory accuracy and operational consistency. Effective communication is essential, as you will continuously coordinate with restaurant staff to monitor stock levels and assist with supply orders. Maintaining safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards in all back-of-house areas is a critical responsibility, aligned with established cleaning schedules to ensure compliance with health regulations.
In addition to managing operational costs and adhering to budgetary guidelines, you will ensure that all kitchen equipment is safe, secure, and fully operational. Conducting thorough pre- and post-service briefings with front and back-of-house teams will be part of your routine to reinforce operational objectives and quality standards. This position demands a professional and ethical leadership style to foster a positive and efficient work environment. You will play an integral role in employee training, coaching, and development initiatives to nurture team growth and performance excellence.
Wonder values diversity, equity, and inclusion and operates an Automated Employment Decision Tool in its hiring process to ensure an objective, unbiased evaluation of candidates. This approach aligns with Wonder’s commitment to building the best teams and providing equal employment opportunities regardless of race, gender identity, sexual orientation, or other protected characteristics. Wonder also participates in the federal government’s E-Verify program to confirm employment eligibility.
This role offers a unique opportunity to be part of a forward-thinking culinary company that is revolutionizing the dining experience. Ideal candidates will bring leadership experience, a passion for the food service industry, and a commitment to excellence in quality and operational standards. Join Wonder and help make great food accessible to all while advancing your career in an engaging and supportive environment.
