Job Description

Starbucks Coffee Company is globally renowned for its commitment to crafting the world’s finest coffee and creating meaningful moments for its customers. As a leader in the specialty coffee industry, Starbucks has cultivated a unique culture centered around human connection, community, and quality. The company operates thousands of retail coffeehouses worldwide and is dedicated to fostering an inclusive and welcoming environment for both partners (employees) and customers alike. Starbucks appreciates the importance of creating a space where every cup of coffee can spark connection and brighten a customer’s day, positioning itself not just as a coffeehouse, but as a community hub for meaningful experiences.

The opportunity to join Starbucks as a Shift Supervisor places you at the heart of this mission. In this leadership role, you will be entrusted with guiding your team to uphold the highest standards of product quality and customer care. Your influence will directly shape the atmosphere of your store, making it a warm, inviting, and vibrant space for your community. This role uniquely blends operational oversight with a passion for mentorship and development, as you play a pivotal role in coaching your team, managing day-to-day store functions, and ensuring customers enjoy an exceptional experience every time they visit.

A Shift Supervisor at Starbucks is more than just a manager — you are a leader who leads with craft and heart. Your responsibilities span supervising the preparation of beverages and food to meet quality standards, coordinating staff to efficiently manage shifts, and fostering a team atmosphere grounded in positivity and collaboration. You will be responsible for maintaining store safety and security, handling cash operations accurately, and upholding the company’s retail policies and standards.

Starbucks strongly invests in the growth and development of its partners. As a Shift Supervisor, you will benefit from comprehensive training programs and learning opportunities designed to empower you professionally and personally. Additionally, Starbucks offers industry-leading benefits that support the well-being and future of its employees and their families. These benefits include medical, dental, and vision coverage, paid parental leave, vacation accrual, short- and long-term disability coverage, and financial well-being programs. Starbucks also promotes educational advancement through 100% tuition coverage for a first-time bachelor’s degree via the Starbucks College Achievement Plan in partnership with Arizona State University.

This position requires flexibility in scheduling, including the ability to work various shifts such as early mornings, evenings, weekends, nights, and holidays. New partners typically start at the entry point of the pay range, which varies geographically, with compensation tailored to the candidate’s qualifications and experience. Starbucks is an equal opportunity employer, committed to diversity, inclusion, and reasonable accommodations for all applicants. If you value a culture that encourages learning, leadership, and meaningful community interactions, this role embodies a dynamic opportunity to grow within one of the world's most respected brands.
