The role of a Sports Bar General Manager at Buffalo Wild Wings is pivotal to maintaining the company’s standard of excellence. Often referred to as the head coach of the restaurant, the General Manager is responsible for orchestrating every aspect of the restaurant's operations to create the ultimate sports fan experience. This includes overseeing local marketing efforts, managing the financial health of the business through Profit and Loss statements, and ensuring the sports bar operates efficiently and profitably. Leadership is key, as the General Manager directs a team of management professionals, including Assistant General Managers, Hospitality Managers, Service Managers, Bar Managers, and Kitchen Managers.
The General Manager leads through performance management, employee engagement, and training initiatives, fostering a team culture that is passionate about both sports and exceptional service. Additionally, the role involves community engagement and fundraising activities, further connecting Buffalo Wild Wings to the local area and its customers. Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- minimum 4-5 years management experience in a restaurant setting
- knowledge of labor laws and health code regulations
- ability to analyze financial statements and manage budgets
- excellent leadership and communication skills
- ability to lead and motivate a team
- availability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Job Qualifications
- high school graduate or equivalent
- bachelor’s degree preferred
- 4-5 years of management experience
- prior restaurant general manager experience
- strong leadership and team management skills
- knowledge of labor laws, health codes, and safety standards
- experience with profit and loss management
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Job Duties
- Oversee the daily operations of the sports bar
- manage and lead the management team including AGM, Hospitality Manager, Service Manager, Bar Manager, and Kitchen Manager
