Job Description

WKS Restaurant Group is a dynamic and rapidly growing multi-concept franchise restaurant developer and operator. With over 300 stores across 17 states, WKS Restaurant Group manages some of the most recognized brand names in the restaurant industry including Wendy's, El Pollo Loco, Denny's, Krispy Kreme Doughnuts, Blaze Pizza, and Corner Bakery Café. As a licensed franchisee, WKS is committed to not only delivering exceptional dining experiences to its customers but also fostering a positive, growth-oriented work environment for its employees. The group prides itself on its ability to integrate the distinct operational elements of diverse brands while maintaining high standards of customer service and operational excellence.

This job opportunity involves a supervisory role specifically within the Wendy’s franchise, managed by WKS Restaurant Group. The position primarily focuses on managing shifts to ensure smooth and successful daily operations. Responsibilities include training crew members, handling cash transactions accurately, maintaining customer satisfaction, and enforcing strict adherence to food safety standards and company policies. The role demands a leader who can effectively motivate and manage a team, ensuring the restaurant meets its Quality, Service, and Cleanliness (Q.S.C.) standards consistently.

As a shift supervisor, you will be instrumental in implementing operational plans and strategies designed to keep the store running efficiently. The job also demands a hands-on approach where you may be involved in various tasks ranging from operational oversight and staff training to compliance with health and safety standards. The supervisor needs to possess strong leadership qualities to solve practical problems and manage various concrete variables daily in the fast-paced environment of a franchise restaurant.

Eligible employees benefit from comprehensive medical insurance starting from the first day of the month following 30 days of employment, including vision and dental plans, also available after 30 days. Additionally, the company offers a 401k plan with up to 4% company match and immediate vesting for employees who complete one year of service. Paid vacation is provided at two weeks annually, accrued bi-weekly, which increases to three weeks following the fifth anniversary with the company. These benefits highlight both the company's commitment to employee wellness and its encouragement of long-term career development.

The position requires candidates to be at least 18 years old, possess a high school diploma or GED, and have some prior experience or training relevant to the role. Candidates must be Point of Contact (P.O.C.) trained on all positions within the store, showcasing versatility and readiness to step in wherever needed. Additional certifications such as Crew Leader and Shift Supervisor certifications are also required to ensure that all supervisory responsibilities can be met effectively.

Physical demands of the role include standing, walking, sitting, handling tasks manually, reaching, climbing, stooping, kneeling, and occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds. The work environment includes exposure to high heat from grills and fryer equipment, as well as cooking oils and materials commonly used in preparing fast food. Employees must maintain a valid driver’s license and insurance if required to drive for company-related errands, including making deposits or picking up supplies.

Overall, this supervisory role at Wendy’s under the leadership of WKS Restaurant Group offers a unique opportunity for motivated individuals to grow in a reputable and expanding franchise organization. The position offers a balanced blend of hands-on operational work and leadership responsibilities aimed at ensuring high standards of service and safety are maintained, thus contributing to the franchise’s overall success and customer satisfaction.
