Job Description
This job opportunity is offered at a restaurant owned and operated by an independent franchisee licensed to use McDonald’s logos and food products. Although the franchisee operates under the McDonald’s brand, it is a separate legal entity from McDonald’s USA and handles all employment decisions, staffing, and operational management independently. This means that if you are hired, your employer will be the franchisee, not McDonald’s USA. The franchisee is solely responsible for employment actions such as hiring, firing, discipline, supervision, scheduling, and overall staffing. McDonald’s USA has no involvement or control over employment matters within the restaurant and does not receive applications or participate in hiring decisions.
This position is for a Shift Manager role within this independently owned and operated McDonald’s restaurant. The Shift Manager plays a key leadership role, leading shifts every week to ensure customers receive a fast, accurate, and friendly experience during every visit. As a Shift Manager, you will provide leadership to crew members and fellow managers to uphold high standards of quality, service, and cleanliness. Your responsibilities include planning for each shift, monitoring ongoing performance, ensuring compliance with McDonald’s safety and quality standards, and managing overall profitability during your shift.
This role requires someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys leading a team, and is passionate about delivering exceptional customer service in a restaurant setting. You will be expected to take action to meet team goals, maintain internal communications effectively, and prepare the upcoming shift’s management team for success through seamless handoffs. Shift Managers are also responsible for critical functions such as food safety oversight, daily maintenance, inventory management, scheduling, training new team members, and ensuring a secure and safe work environment.
Ideal candidates for this role bring prior leadership experience, preferably in restaurant, retail, or hospitality settings.
