Job Description
Jimmy John's is a well-established fast food franchise specializing in delivering freaky fresh sandwiches to its customers. Unlike many conventional fast food outlets, Jimmy John's franchise prides itself on a culture that emphasizes quality food, cleanliness, and a welcoming environment. This franchise is known for its commitment to employee growth and offers competitive wages, benefits, and opportunities for career advancement into leadership roles. The franchise values a dynamic, supportive, and inclusive work environment where employees can thrive and develop their skills.
The Person in Charge role at Jimmy John's is a critical leadership position responsible for managing restaurant operations during assigned shifts when the main management team is not present. This role is designed for individuals who are passionate about providing excellent food service while maintaining a clean and efficient store. The Person in Charge supervises staff, delegates responsibilities, and ensures a minimum loss from waste or theft by carefully managing food, labor, and supplies. This role requires hands-on involvement in food preparation, sales oversight, and customer service, especially during rush periods, ensuring a smooth and effective operation.
Alongside operational duties, the Person in Charge supports administrative tasks, including daily paperwork and preventive maintenance of the store's equipment and supplies. This position demands a high level of responsibility, physical stamina, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Employees in this role benefit from comprehensive training and the tools necessary to succeed, which fosters both personal growth and professional development within the organization.
Jimmy John's not only offers a competitive hourly wage based on experience but also provides an employee meal benefit program, paid time off, and robust health benefits including PPO medical, dental, and vision coverage. The company encourages career growth with opportunities to advance to Assistant Manager, General Manager, Area Manager, or even Director of Operations, supported by career development programs and mentorship. Aspiring leaders are motivated to take ownership of their work location and develop essential leadership and management skills in a fast-growing, industry-leading organization. The franchise seeks candidates who are at least 18 years old, ready to work flexible hours including overtime, holidays, and weekends, with the physical ability to meet the demands of the job.
