The Shift Leader position is a pivotal role within the restaurant's management team. Acting as a key support to the General Manager or the Person In Charge on duty, the Shift Leader is entrusted with overseeing the daily operational activities during their shift. This role involves collaborating closely with the Restaurant Management Team to ensure that all team members, including Crew Persons and Team Leaders, perform their duties effectively and adhere to the restaurant's business plan. The Shift Leader is responsible for fostering a positive work environment, driving team performance, and ensuring a consistent delivery of quality products and customer service that meet the highest standards.

The ideal candidate for this role will bring approximately two to three years of combined experience and education in restaurant management. They must possess excellent planning and time management abilities, strong team-building skills, and a keen aptitude for problem-solving, particularly in areas such as cash handling. Communication skills, both oral and written, are essential, as the Shift Leader will interact with various internal and external contacts and participate in ongoing training, meetings, webinars, and conference calls to stay abreast of industry trends. The position demands reliability, accessibility, and a proactive approach to meeting the restaurant's needs while upholding an open-door policy.

Working in a fast-paced environment, the Shift Leader must be comfortable operating kitchen equipment in tight quarters and managing physical demands such as standing for extended periods, bending, stooping, and lifting weights up to 75 pounds. Additionally, knowledge of multiple languages is beneficial but not required.
