This opportunity is with a dynamic restaurant seeking a motivated and dedicated Shift Lead to join their team. The restaurant is known for delivering excellent customer service and creating a welcoming environment for both guests and employees. As a restaurant-focused establishment, they pride themselves on quality food preparation, operational efficiency, and an enthusiastic team culture that drives their daily success.
The Shift Lead plays a critical role in the restaurant's operation by leading and motivating the team to provide exceptional customer service and maintaining smooth daily operations. Acting as the manager in the absence of the General Manager or Assistant Manager, the Shift Lead ensures that all shifts run successfully, overseeing a variety of operational responsibilities from managing the administrative aspects to maintaining high standards of product quality and sanitation. This role requires someone with strong leadership skills, a focus on guest satisfaction, and the ability to manage and train staff effectively.
The Shift Lead will direct team members in their tasks to ensure continuity of operations, execute administrative duties such as handling petty cash, daily deposits, inventories, and daily reports. They also ensure compliance with sanitation standards and the maintenance of the restaurant’s neat and attractive appearance. This position involves assigning work positions to optimize efficiency per company policies and relevant labor laws. The Shift Lead utilizes company training tools to enhance the team's skills in food preparation, sanitation, safety, guest relations, and sales techniques. Handling guest complaints professionally and ensuring satisfaction is a core element of the role.
Inventory management is another crucial responsibility, including conducting stock counts to support timely ordering and identifying shortages. The Shift Lead ensures adherence to all company security and operational policies, maintaining a safe and secure environment for staff and guests. This role requires availability across all shifts, including weekends and holidays, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Reliable transportation and proficiency with company software and communication tools are essential.
Physical demands are significant, with the need to frequently lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds, work on feet for extended hours, and maintain a rapid pace throughout shifts. Overall, this position is perfect for someone who is passionate about leadership in the restaurant industry, delivering top-tier service, and driving operational excellence.
