As a Shift Leader at Five Guys, you will play a pivotal role in leading the daily operations of the restaurant during your shift. Your responsibilities as a Shift Leader include managing the shift when management is not present, ensuring smooth and efficient operations by stepping into various positions such as cashier, grill, prep, fries, and dining room as needed. You will be responsible for delivering fast and accurate service to create memorable guest experiences. Additionally, you will coach, support, and motivate crew members to perform at their best, helping train new team members to contribute to a positive and productive culture. Maintaining cleanliness, safety, and adherence to brand standards is crucial, alongside managing shift tasks like breaks, cash handling, and closing reports.

This role suits those with 1-2 years of experience in restaurant, retail, or hospitality roles, preferably with some leadership exposure. A team-first mindset, strong communication skills, and the ability to stay calm and make decisions under pressure are essential. Basic math skills and comfort using point-of-sale (POS) systems are also required. Preferred candidates will have food safety certification, such as ServSafe.
