This position provides comprehensive training through Service Technician mentors and the Patterson Technology Academy’s online courses, supporting employees in developing essential installation and repair skills. The Dental Service Technician's core duties include safely removing, modifying, repairing, and installing dental equipment under general supervision. They are expected to follow detailed checklists, ensure all critical parts are examined, and apply manufacturer guidelines along with OSHA and other applicable regulations, especially those related to asepsis. The role is not limited to technical tasks; it also involves building strong customer relationships through professional and timely communication, showing a people-first approach by treating customers with respect and consideration.
Additional responsibilities include managing vehicle inventory, scheduling equipment maintenance, demonstrating strong problem-solving skills, and upholding Patterson’s code of ethics and work ethics. The position entails 100% travel within a local geographic area, with occasional overnight or after-hours travel. The physical demands include lifting and positioning dental equipment, climbing ladders or steps, and maintaining prolonged stationary or driving postures.
Patterson offers a competitive compensation range for this role, between $22.60 and $29.33 per hour, depending on factors such as location, experience, and skills. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Mechanical aptitude required
- Possesses strong work ethic and takes ownership of both company and customers goals/objectives
- Focused on understanding, meeting, and exceeding customer expectations
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Requires basic computer skills and/or ability to use smartphone/tablet
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Valid driver’s license along with good driving record

Job Duties
