With over 17 franchised dealer brands distributed among 26 locations across six states and employing more than 2,500 dedicated team members, Garber Automotive Group commands respect and recognition. The company proudly ranks No. 61 among the 150 largest dealer groups in the nation, according to Automotive News, and several of its dealerships have been honored with the prestigious "Top 100 Dealers to Work For" distinction. This reputation stems from Garber's unwavering commitment to exceptional customer service, high employee satisfaction, and a dynamic work environment. At Garber, the philosophy is clear: the unique asset of the business is its people. Only by recruiting, nurturing, and retaining the industry's best professionals can they offer the exceptional service that customers have come to expect.

Garber Automotive Group is not just a place to work; it is a vibrant community where employees are empowered to build lasting careers. The company places high value on personal growth and advancement, fostering an environment where ambition and drive are recognized and rewarded. Opportunities abound for those who are ready to excel, whether through promotion from within or by taking advantage of their comprehensive training and development programs.

Currently, Garber Automotive Group is seeking motivated and enthusiastic individuals to join their team as Service Porters. This role is vital to ensuring smooth and efficient operations within the service department. The Service Porter is responsible for managing vehicle logistics, including tagging and parking customer cars that require service, retrieving serviced vehicles promptly when customers return, and moving vehicles as needed to facilitate seamless service flow. In addition to these responsibilities, Service Porters assist with maintaining a clean and safe service environment, playing a key role in safeguarding both employees and customers. This position reports directly to the Service Manager and may include a variety of additional tasks assigned to support the overall service department goals.

Working as a Service Porter at Garber offers more than just a job; it presents a clear pathway to career growth within one of the nation's most respected automotive groups. The company offers competitive pay, with rates from $17 to $20 per hour based on skills and experience, along with outstanding benefits that promote well-being and financial security. These benefits include comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance plans, life insurance, and a 401(k) program with a company match to help employees build their retirement savings. Employees also enjoy exclusive discounts on vehicles and services, further emphasizing Garber's commitment to rewarding their workforce.

The ideal candidate for this role possesses a valid driver’s license and a clean driving history, demonstrating reliability and responsibility. While prior customer service experience is preferred, it is not a requirement, offering an excellent opportunity for motivated individuals looking to begin or advance their careers in the automotive service industry. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, excellent customer service acumen, organizational capabilities, and a professional appearance are all essential traits for success in this position. Above all, candidates must exhibit a self-motivated, goal-oriented, and enthusiastic approach, thriving in a collaborative team environment.

Joining Garber means becoming part of a company that values its employees as its greatest asset and provides a supportive and career-driven environment.
