The Service Leader role at Chipotle is a vital position responsible for ensuring a positive customer experience through safe and quality food preparation and outstanding service. The Service Leader oversees restaurant crew performance, ensuring that they are well-trained and equipped to provide excellent customer service in adherence to the company's policies and philosophies. This position requires the Service Leader to maintain a clean and organized line, manage working equipment properly, and take an active role in supporting food safety protocols. The role demands physical activity as Service Leaders are expected to be on their feet during work hours, assisting others and completing tasks proactively when not busy.

As a Service Leader, you will be instrumental in maintaining the standards of food taste and quality, resolving customer issues effectively, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and teamwork among the crew. Duties include adhering to strict food safety standards such as hand washing, glove changes, monitoring food temperatures, shelf lives, and performing daily food safety checklists. Additionally, Service Leaders play a key role in managing crew schedules, breaks, shift changes, and meetings, while also focusing on developing and cross-training front-of-house team members to ensure operational excellence and prepare them for future leadership roles. Administrative responsibilities such as banking, cash handling, paperwork, and managing office supplies and equipment are also part of the job, contributing to a smooth operation.

This position requires understanding and embodying the Food With Integrity philosophy that defines Chipotle's approach to sourcing and serving food. Candidates should possess restaurant experience, a high school diploma, and a solid understanding of cash handling procedures, food safety, and health department regulations. Effective communication skills and the ability to read, write, and speak the primary language of the workplace are essential.
