Job Description
The service attendant/busser position at the cafe involves preparing and serving food items under the direction of the Cafe Manager. The role includes tasks such as pulling and wrapping bread, preparing a variety of food items, stocking the front of the house, delivering food to guests, and maintaining cleanliness in the dining room and restrooms. The ideal candidate will have strong customer service skills and be proactive in meeting guest needs while supporting company initiatives. Secondary functions may include expo, cashier, dishwasher, and line cook responsibilities like maintaining displays, bussing tables, and handling financial transactions accurately.
Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent, or currently pursuing one
- completion of CBC driver training and possession of a valid driver's license with insurance
- state Foodhandler card/ServSafe certification where applicable
- at least 3 months of experience in guest service, preferably in a restaurant or retail setting
- excellent communication skills, organization, attention to detail, and computer literacy including proficiency in POS systems
- ability to read, write, and speak English and proficiency in basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
