As a leader in the senior living industry, the company places great emphasis on innovation, continuous improvement, and investing in its team members to ensure an outstanding experience for all who live and work there. The community prides itself on its culture of hospitality, where every resident and guest is treated with respect, kindness, and dignity, making Sandhill Cove more than just a place to live but a place to thrive. Working at Sandhill Cove means having a front-row seat to the fascinating life stories of wise and extraordinary individuals, while contributing meaningfully to their day-to-day lives through attentive service and genuine care.
Sandhill Cove is currently seeking a hospitality-focused Server to join its culinary team on a part-time basis (20-28 hours per week). This role entails delivering full-scope, hands-on serving duties that are integral to the overall dining experience within the community. The Server position is pivotal in ensuring that residents and guests enjoy excellent dining service characterized by attentiveness, professionalism, and warmth. By joining Sandhill Cove, candidates become part of a company that values hospitality deeply and fosters a supportive work environment where employees are encouraged to grow and succeed. The starting hourly rate ranges from $15 to $18 depending on experience, with no tipping involved, exemplifying Sandhill Cove's dedication to fairness and employee appreciation. This part-time role offers the opportunity to contribute to a purpose-driven organization while benefiting from a structured schedule and meaningful interactions with residents.
Servers at Sandhill Cove are responsible for preparing service stations, setting tables, running food and beverages, assisting with clearing and bussing tables, attending pre-shift meetings, and anticipating the needs of residents and guests to ensure seamless service delivery. The position requires physical stamina, as it involves standing and walking for extended periods, occasional lifting of up to 30 pounds, and working in varied environmental conditions. Sandhill Cove emphasizes a culture of hospitality promises where servers greet residents and guests warmly by name, treat everyone with respect, actively listen and respond, maintain professionalism, and hold themselves accountable. The company strongly values diversity and inclusion, making all employees and residents feel important and cared for.
Moreover, Sandhill Cove supports work-life balance with early dining room closing hours, offers a 401K retirement plan, daily pay options, and scholarships for continuing education for its employees. The company expects availability every other weekend and some holidays to meet the community's needs. This is an excellent opportunity for enthusiastic professionals passionate about hospitality and senior engagement to join an extraordinary life experience at Sandhill Cove and make a positive impact every day.
