We are currently seeking a part-time Server/Bartender to join our dedicated Food and Beverage team. Reporting to the Assistant Clubhouse Manager or Food and Beverage Supervisor, this role is instrumental in delivering the club’s STAR Service, designed to exceed member and guest expectations, promote satisfaction, and encourage retention. This position requires a candidate committed to maintaining the high service standards that the Country Club of Columbus is known for, through knowledge of the club’s menu, beverages, and the ability to provide friendly, timely, and attentive service.
The Server/Bartender will be responsible for providing comprehensive food and beverage service, including detailed knowledge of the a la carte menu, daily specials, and the club’s variety of liquors, beers, and wines. Integral to this role is the ability to interact warmly and professionally with members and guests, greeting them by name and ensuring they feel welcomed and at home. Candidates must be capable of efficiently handling member orders, special requests, and ensuring seamless service delivery while collaborating with team members and other departments within the club.
Beyond serving food and beverages, the role involves diligent upkeep of work areas, including cleanliness, stocking supplies, and completing side work as per club standards. The Server/Bartender will assist colleagues proactively to uphold the three steps of service—an essential framework designed to consistently deliver excellence. Handling member or guest complaints promptly and professionally, implementing service recovery when necessary, is critical to maintaining the club’s reputation.
The club expects all employees to be adaptable, ready to undertake various tasks beyond their primary duties to support overall operations. Adherence to all club policies, safety standards, and uniform guidelines is mandatory, underscoring the importance of professionalism and integrity in every aspect of work. Attendance at service training and daily team meetings is required to stay aligned with the club’s service philosophy and operational goals.

Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Maintain Country Club of Columbus service standards as outlined in the food and beverage service training program
- Responsible for the service of food and beverage to members and guests adhering to club standards
- Have complete and comprehensive knowledge of the a la carte menu including daily features and specials
- Accurately execute member and guest orders and requests in an attentive and timely fashion
- Know members' names and greet them promptly to provide a warm welcome
- Complete daily assignments, cleanliness, and side work in respective areas to meet club standards
- Assist fellow employee partners, members, and guests to ensure delivery of the three steps of service
- Notify supervisor of member or guest complaints and practice service recovery
- Possess clear knowledge of all liquors, beer, and wines available
- Interact professionally with members and guests helping with changes and last-minute requests
- Perform additional duties as assigned by food and beverage director or other supervisors
- Adhere to all company, club, and department policies and safety standards
- Attend all service training meetings and daily line-ups
- Wear a clean and neat uniform per club standards
