Job Description
John's Table Kitchen and Bar is a vibrant, independently owned and operated full-service restaurant and bar located in the heart of the community. Proudly embodying the spirit of a scratch kitchen, John's Table crafts food from scratch using fresh, high-quality ingredients to ensure that each dish served is prepared with care and creativity. The restaurant emphasizes classic dishes reimagined through the lens of the team's diverse backgrounds and heritage, creating a unique dining experience that both locals and visitors can enjoy. More than just a place to eat, John's Table is committed to fostering a welcoming environment where guests can relax and be immersed in the warmth of the community. The leadership team prioritizes the needs of their staff by maintaining open lines of communication, valuing employee input, and making thoughtful decisions that support the entire team’s well-being and professional growth. The restaurant culture is one of mutual respect and support, acknowledging that while the hospitality industry can be challenging, employees should always feel valued and backed by their colleagues and management.
This role is perfect for individuals who are passionate about hospitality and desire to be part of a supportive, stable team that values hard work, attention to detail, and adaptability. Starting on a part-time basis with the opportunity to transition to full-time during the busy spring season, this position offers flexible hours aligned with work-life balance. Candidates do not need extensive prior experience, but some background in service is necessary to thrive in this role. The position focuses on creating memorable guest experiences, supporting team members and contributing to a positive service environment that encourages growth and development. Employees benefit from competitive hourly pay ranging from $35 to $45 per hour, weekly pay schedules for easier budgeting, and comprehensive benefit offerings including 401(k) and health insurance plans. Additionally, staff enjoy generous perks such as shift meals and drinks, consistent scheduling with priority given to time-off requests, and two consecutive days off each week to promote rest and personal time.
Joining John's Table means becoming part of a local, family-owned legacy that values genuine hospitality and community connection. The role involves direct guest interaction, executing pre-service, service, and post-service duties with professionalism, and committing to continuous learning about food, beer, wine, and spirits through on-the-job training and mentorship. The team service model utilized by the establishment fosters collaboration and respect among staff while delivering exceptional service to guests. If you are seeking a workplace that champions team-first values, professional growth opportunities, and a fulfilling hospitality career, John's Table Kitchen and Bar is an excellent choice to grow your skills and contribute positively to a thriving local business.
