The Dining Room Server role at Belmont Village La Jolla is a unique part-time position that plays a vital role in delivering an exceptional dining experience to senior residents and their guests. This position operates within a beautiful on-site restaurant and requires close collaboration with the Dining Room Coordinator and fellow servers. The role is designed to foster consistent interaction with residents by providing attentive, personalized table service during meals and special community events. While this is a non-tipped employment opportunity, it offers a steady and reliable schedule with hours from 4:00pm to 8:00pm on varying days including weekends. The hourly wage for this role is $19, and kitchen staff receives free meals. - Must be at least 16 years of age
- must be able to communicate clearly in verbal and written English
- must be able to work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed
- must be able to efficiently multi-task, be an active listener, and collaborate effectively with team members
- demonstrates a willingness to learn and work in a hands-on, hospitality oriented position
- knowledge of dining etiquette and prior restaurant server experience is preferred
- consistent and reliable attendance is essential for all Belmont Village employees to ensure the successful operation of the community

Job Duties
- Provide attentive and personalized dining service to a group of assigned tables in our on-site restaurant, ensuring a positive dining experience
- take accurate orders, offer menu recommendations, and deliver food and beverages in a timely and professional manner
- ensure orders are served at the correct temperature, with proper presentation and accuracy
- prepare and set up the dining room for service, ensuring flatware, condiments and beverages are always ready
- assist with meal service at special events and celebrations held within the Belmont Village community
- maintain cleanliness of dining room and assigned tables ensuring guest needs are met throughout each meal
