This is a tipped position with a base pay starting at $6.30 per hour, not including potential tips. In the role of Server, you will be responsible for greeting guests warmly, presenting menus, and effectively communicating daily specials and menu details. Your role extends beyond just taking orders; you will be managing the flow of the dining room by efficiently processing orders through the point-of-sale system, delivering food and beverages promptly, and handling payment transactions confidently and accurately. You will also maintain open lines of communication with kitchen and bar staff to ensure orders are fulfilled correctly and timely.

Additionally, you will demonstrate responsible alcohol service by adhering strictly to all policies and procedures regarding the service of alcoholic beverages. This ensures a safe and pleasant dining environment for all patrons. Your responsibilities will also include performing various opening and closing duties, as well as cleaning and side work assigned during your shift. Keeping your work areas clean, sanitized, organized, and fully operational is crucial to maintaining the overall quality and safety standards of the restaurant.

This position demands physical stamina, including the ability to lift up to 35 pounds and the endurance to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods, sometimes navigating stairs. Attention to detail, strong observational skills, and the ability to listen and communicate effectively are essential to successfully take orders and manage guest interactions.

Job Requirements

  • Must be able to lift 35 lbs
  • able to stand, walk, and bend for long periods
  • able to walk upstairs
  • visual awareness and hearing sufficient to take orders and prepare checks

Job Qualifications

  • Experience in cash handling and credit card processing
  • one year's experience as a server in a high-volume environment beneficial
  • experience with a point-of-sale system in a service or hospitality environment beneficial

Job Duties

  • Greet and attend to guests' needs
