The Server role at Provincial Senior Living is integral to providing an exceptional dining experience for their residents. Servers play a critical role in ensuring the residents’ satisfaction by delivering meals and drinks with professionalism, friendliness, and timeliness. This position supports the company’s mission to enhance residents' daily lives by combining hospitality with personalized service. Servers are expected to have a thorough understanding of food handling techniques and be knowledgeable about the menu, including specials and food descriptions, so they can confidently engage with and assist residents.
The Server is responsible for the cleanliness and appearance of the dining areas, maintaining assigned tables to ensure proper setup, readiness, and cleanliness throughout shifts. They follow strict cleaning schedules for daily, weekly, and monthly tasks and participate in opening and closing duties to guarantee the dining room upholds Provincial’s high standards of hospitality. Additionally, Servers may assist in training new food service team members, contributing to the team’s overall success and consistency of service delivery.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience in fine dining preferred

Job Duties
- Utilizes proper food handling and food service techniques
- Takes meal/drink orders and serves meals in a friendly and timely manner
- Assures resident/guest is satisfied with their meals
- Maintains knowledge of all specials and general description of all food items and explains to residents or guests
- Maintains assigned tables and surrounding area in a complete state of cleanliness, appearance and readiness
- Follows daily, weekly and monthly cleaning schedules
- Assists with orientation and training of new food servers
- Practices all safety and loss prevention procedures
- Sets-up and cleans the Dining Room while maintaining or exceeding hospitality and service standards
- Maintains or exceeds standards of appearance, cleanliness, personal sanitation, and hygiene
- Performs and completes opening and closing checklist criteria
- Assists in dining room and surrounding areas for proper directional flow, organization and supplies placement
- Other duties as assigned
