We are currently seeking a Server who will play a vital role in enhancing our guests' dining experiences. The Server position is a full-time employment opportunity that requires dedication, excellent interpersonal skills, and a proactive attitude. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing outstanding service by taking orders accurately, delivering food promptly, and catering to all guest needs with enthusiasm and professionalism. Understanding the menu and being able to offer insightful recommendations, including wine pairings, will be key elements of the role. The Server will also be expected to operate the Micros point-of-sale system efficiently to handle orders and payments. This position demands the ability to stand throughout the shift, work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, and collaborate effectively with team members to maintain smooth operations during service times.

In this role, the Server is not only responsible for routine tasks such as seating guests, ringing orders, and maintaining table cleanliness but also for creating a personalized experience that encourages guests to return. Emphasis is placed on a positive, can-do attitude where the Server prioritizes guest satisfaction and anticipates their needs proactively. This dedication to going beyond the standard service plays a significant role in upholding the restaurant’s reputation. Additionally, the Server will assist the host as needed, including managing phone orders and greeting guests, which requires excellent communication and multitasking skills. Candidates should possess strong knowledge of the menu, basic English communication abilities, and prior customer service skills are preferred but not mandatory. Certifications such as TIPs and ABC, as applicable to the market, are required to ensure responsible alcohol service.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required
  • willingness to learn a new craft and acclimate to a fun culture
  • TIPs certification- CT/NY/MA/VA/FL markets
  • ABC certification- TN market
  • be able to stand on your feet for the entirety of a scheduled shift
  • have strong customer-service skills with an 'above and beyond' attitude
  • must be able to work quickly in a confined area and stand for extended periods of time

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • TIPs certification (CT/NY/MA/VA/FL markets)
  • ABC certification (TN market)
  • solid knowledge of the menu and culture of the restaurant
  • basic English reading and communication skills
  • understanding of Micros POS system-entering orders, processing payments
  • strong attention to detail
  • avid team player

Job Duties

  • Direct guests to their seats and present the menu
  • present the guest with recommendations, including wine pairings
  • work with the back server to ensure all of the guest's needs are met
  • ring in all orders into Micros and process payments
  • check identification to ensure that guests meet minimum age requirements for consumption of alcoholic beverages
  • maintain tables through pre-bussing, marking and clearing with correct procedure
  • check with guests regularly to ensure that they are enjoying their meals and take action to correct any problems
