The Whitaker Group is currently looking to hire a Server based in Pittsburgh who will play a vital role in ensuring an outstanding dining experience for guests. As a Server, you will be responsible for delivering attentive, friendly, and efficient service in a fast-paced hospitality setting. This position demands excellent communication and multitasking skills as you will manage several tables simultaneously while maintaining a professional and positive demeanor. The Server acts as the face of the establishment by greeting guests promptly, accurately taking orders, serving food and beverages, and making certain that guests’ needs and concerns are promptly addressed. Coordinating closely with kitchen and bar staff to ensure timely and accurate order delivery is an essential part of the role. Attention to detail regarding food quality and presentation is paramount in this position. The role contributes directly to creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere that fosters repeat visits and enhances the overall reputation of the establishment through positive guest experiences. Job Duties

  • Greet and seat guests in a courteous and timely manner, providing menus and answering initial questions
  • take accurate food and beverage orders, ensuring special requests and dietary restrictions are communicated to the kitchen
  • serve food and drinks promptly while checking in with guests to ensure satisfaction throughout their dining experience
  • handle guest payments and process transactions accurately using the point-of-sale system
  • maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including setting and clearing tables
  • collaborate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth and efficient service flow
  • address and resolve guest complaints or concerns professionally and escalate when necessary
  • adhere to all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines to provide a safe dining environment
