Job Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in high volume and fine dining
- TIPs certification
- ability to reach, bend, stoop, climb stairs, and carry multiple objects
- knowledge of food allergies
- excellent guest service skills
- ability to maintain professionalism during peak periods
- experience adhering to Department of Health standards
- ability to communicate clearly
- basic math skills
- ability to stand for prolonged periods
- ability to work under variable temperature and noise conditions
- ability to work around chemicals
Job Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience working in high volume and fine dining
- extensive knowledge of food and beverage
- knowledge of food allergies related to food and beverage
- excellent guest service skills and ability to maintain professional service during peak periods
- experience maintaining Department of Health standards above and beyond what is expected
- TIPs certified
- ability to compute basic arithmetic
- provide legible communication
Job Duties
- Welcome guest reading and listening to guest in order to determine food and beverage preferences and make recommendations
- multitask many tables at once in various stages of a dining experience
- knowledgeable of all aspects of food, cocktail and wine service
- check identification to ensure guests are of legal age to purchase alcohol
- accurately handle cash, credit and room charge transactions
- remain calm and resolve problems using good judgment
- follow directions thorough to completion
- multitask while dealing with high volume of service
- anticipate and understand guest's service needs
- work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team
- demonstrate self-motivation and work independently
- maintain confidentiality of guest information and pertinent hotel data
