The role of a Dining Server at Westminster Communities of Florida involves playing a crucial part in delivering an outstanding dining experience to older adult residents and guests. This position is centered around providing exemplary food and beverage service in a senior dining setting by adhering to established serving standards and guidelines. The Dining Server ensures meals are served accurately according to meal tickets and provides attentive assistance to residents' dining needs with kindness and professionalism. The position demands a friendly, caring, and timely manner in all aspects of food service and customer interaction.
Dining Servers at Westminster Communities comply with all company policies, rules, and standards, ensuring that each resident's dining experience is pleasant and delightful. In addition to customer service, this role includes light cleaning and stocking responsibilities to maintain the dining area’s cleanliness and efficiency. Applicants do not need to have completed a High School Diploma but should be working towards one if not already achieved. Experience in a high-volume full-service dining establishment with an understanding of food service methods is essential.
The position requires the ability to read, write, and speak English, and the capacity to follow both verbal and written directions effectively. Communication skills tailored to interact with older adults in a dining setting are vital. A Serv Safe certification is required, or the new hire must be able to obtain certification within 90 days. This role is instrumental in ensuring the overall wellbeing and satisfaction of senior residents through excellent dining service.
Westminster Communities of Florida strongly encourages healthcare personnel, including this position, to obtain annual influenza vaccinations in line with public health best practices. Employees may either provide documentation of current vaccination or submit a declination and comply with alternative protective measures such as wearing masks during flu season. Job Requirements
- Ability to read, write and speak the English language and understand and follow written and oral directions

Job Duties
- Comply with all applicable rules, policies, standards and guidelines related to employment with Westminster Communities
- Perform table service and excellent customer relations based on established serving standards and guidelines
- Perform table service in a friendly, caring, professional and timely manner
- Serve the resident’s meal according to meal ticket
- Assist resident with all dining needs while performing table service
- Perform light cleaning and stocking duties as assigned by the supervisor
- Ensure that all residents being served have a pleasant and delightful dining experience
