We are currently looking for a dedicated and energetic Server to join our team. This role is crucial in ensuring that our guests receive top-notch service from the moment they are greeted at their table until their departure. The Server will be responsible for coordinating their entire station, effectively communicating with hosts, bussers, and kitchen staff, and managing multiple tasks with a sense of urgency. Weekend and holiday availability is a must for this position. This is a role where a proactive attitude and excellent interpersonal skills are essential, as the Server often serves as the face of the restaurant, fostering a warm and hospitable environment. Job Requirements
- Minimum of two years of high school education
- Up to one year related experience or training
- Ability to read, write, and speak English
- Basic math skills with ability to use calculator
- Ability to count back money accurately
- Ability to apply common sense and follow instructions
- Ability to work weekends and holidays
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
- Ability to stand, walk, stoop, bend, reach, and use hands effectively throughout shift
- Comfortable working in fast-paced and sometimes noisy environment
- Willingness to accept direction and adhere to safety protocols
Job Qualifications
- Minimum of two years of high school education or equivalent
- Up to one year related experience or training preferred
- Ability to read, write, and speak English effectively
- Strong communication skills in one-on-one or small group situations
- Basic mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
- Ability to handle customer service issues with common sense and problem-solving
- Ability to work cooperatively with team members
- Previous experience in a fast-paced restaurant environment is desirable
Job Duties
- Work with a sense of urgency
- Greet guests within one minute of being seated
- Set up tables with silverware, water, and coffee
- Answer customer questions
- Take orders and use suggestive selling to recommend menu items
- Ring checks into computer
- Hang checks for kitchen
- Prepare and deliver drink orders before food arrives
- Promptly carry out food orders without using a tray
- Drop the bill when food order is complete
- Check back to ensure meal satisfaction
- Provide additional water and coffee as needed
- Observe guests throughout meal for additional needs
- Remove plates and wrap leftovers
- Maximize trips to and from kitchen by checking on tables
- Maintain behind-the-scenes work such as making coffee, restocking, and cutting produce
- Assist other servers and cooks as needed
- Finish off to-go orders
- Keep work area clean and organized
- Follow all safety precautions
- Perform cleaning duties and sidework
- Cooperate with other servers and bussers by sharing tasks
