The Server role at DDP CLE Restaurant Group is a cornerstone of the guest experience and pivotal to the smooth operation of the venue. Servers act as visible ambassadors of the brand, ensuring that each guest's visit is welcoming, enjoyable, and exceeds expectations. This position is hourly and tipped, requiring a commitment to evening and weekend availability, with occasional closing shifts. Servers at DDP CLE are responsible for setting up the dining room, delivering personalized and attentive service, and contributing to the ambiance and operational excellence of the restaurant. The role demands strong communication skills, a deep understanding of the menu including wine and cocktail knowledge, and the ability to multitask efficiently under pressure.   • genuine interest in hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences

Job Duties

  • arrive on time and in uniform
  • bring required tools such as wine keys, order notepads, and personal pen
  • set up the dining room for service before doors open
  • greet all guests within two minutes of being seated
  • deliver genuine, confident, and thoughtful service reflecting your personality
  • accurately enter orders into the POS, course food appropriately, and communicate guest preferences
  • note and verbally communicate any dietary restrictions or allergies
  • check in with each table during service to ensure satisfaction
  • ask for help or involve a manager when needed
  • make knowledgeable menu and pairing suggestions
  • execute proper wine service and confidently describe menu items
  • run food for the entire restaurant, not just your section
  • present the check, process payment, and thank guests sincerely
  • lead guests through the full dining experience with warmth and hospitality
  • support the host team with seating and end-of-night duties
  • assist in resetting tables and restocking service items
  • participate in weekly cleaning duties and maintain a tidy work environment
  • embrace a team-first mentality: full hands in, full hands out
  • stay calm, alert, and efficient under pressure
  • take ownership of your section while remaining open to collaboration
