The Server position at Ellore Senior Living plays a vital role in enhancing the dining experience by providing attentive, courteous, and efficient service to residents, their families, and visitors. This role requires effective communication and professionalism, as the Server will take and accurately enter food and beverage orders, set up and break down tables, and assure compliance with proper serving techniques and etiquette. Maintaining a safe, secure environment aligned with established safety standards is also critical in this position. The Server supports teamwork and upholds the community’s high standards by cooperating closely with coworkers and multiple departments.

Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 16 years of age with a work permit
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to pass a Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests, including physical and TB tests
  • Willingness to comply with company health and safety guidelines including vaccination and PPE usage
  • Strong communication skills
  • Customer service aptitude

Job Qualifications

  • Experience is preferred but not necessary
  • Must be at least 16 years of age with a work permit
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Strong desire to work with the elderly and care for their needs
  • Possess written and verbal skills to interact and communicate effectively with employees, supervisors, physicians, healthcare professionals, residents, and their families
  • Must pass a Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests, including physical and TB tests
  • Ability to follow health and safety protocols including vaccination and PPE usage

Job Duties

  • Serve residents, family members, and visitors in a professional, dignified, efficient, and courteous manner
  • Accurately and professionally take residents' and guests’ food and beverage orders and enter them into the POS (point of sale computer)
  • Set up and break down (bus) tables
  • Assure compliance with all proper serving techniques/etiquette (e.g., serving from left, clearing used dishes between courses, etc.)
  • Maintain a safe and secure environment for all staff, residents, and guests, following established safety standards
  • Encourage teamwork through cooperative interactions with co-workers and other departments
