The Server role at MBK Senior Living is a full-time position featuring variable shifts and a competitive wage range of $17.00 to $18.00 per hour. This position plays a crucial role in enriching residents’ dining experiences by delivering high-quality customer service in a courteous and professional manner. The Server ensures that dining areas are clean, residents are comfortably seated, and meals are served efficiently with attention to dietary needs and preferences. Through exceptional etiquette and personal engagement, Servers at MBK help integrate new residents and foster a welcoming community atmosphere. The role involves collaborating with kitchen and dining staff, adhering to safety and sanitation policies, and contributing to a positive dining culture that supports residents’ well-being. Job Requirements

  • Exposure to restaurant operations or ability to learn
  • Age over 18 years or proper work permit and authorization
  • Background clearances as required by government regulations
  • Complete health screening and provide negative TB test results within last 6 months or 7 days of employment
  • Basic counting skills
  • Good communication skills in English
  • Ability to operate serving equipment
  • Mindfulness regarding resource use and waste minimization
  • Ability to deal tactfully and professionally with personnel, residents, family members, and general public
  • Completion of dining room training course with CCG
  • Meet and maintain all state-specific regulatory requirements

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Experience or exposure to restaurant or food service operations
  • Good communication skills including English speaking, reading and writing
  • Ability to operate standard serving equipment like salad bar carts, trays
  • Completion of dining room training course with CCG
  • Ability to meet state-specific regulatory requirements
  • Demonstrated ability to provide excellent customer service
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

Job Duties

  • Take written food orders and serve meals to residents, family members and visitors in a professional, efficient and courteous manner
  • Assist residents with meal/menu selections as necessary or requested
  • Use proper etiquette and manners while waiting tables courteously and professionally
  • Review residents dietary needs as outlined by Supervisor
  • Track resident attendance at meals and provide that information to the appropriate person
  • Ensure all residents are greeted and seated properly, making new residents feel welcome and comfortable
  • Ensure a clean, sanitary dining area and comply with all food handling and serving policies
  • Display tact and friendliness when dealing with residents, team members, and guests
  • Aid in community marketing effort through positive interactions, dress and behavior by following grooming and dress standards
  • Serve, clean, reset tables, return dishes to kitchen
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisors or Executive Director designee
  • Clean and set up dining and food service areas including stocking condiments
  • Cooperate and assist other kitchen and dining services to ensure positive dining experience
  • Report any safety or equipment issues to Supervisor
