Currently, Arrow Senior Living is seeking a Part-Time Server for its Vitalia Active Adult Community in Mentor, Ohio. This role is an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about hospitality and eager to contribute positively to residents' daily dining experiences. The starting wage ranges between $15.00 and $21.25 per hour, reflecting the importance of the position in delivering high-quality service to senior community members. The schedule is Wednesday through Saturday from 4:00 pm to 7:30 pm, offering a consistent part-time employment opportunity. Job Requirements
- Must be at least sixteen years of age
- Must be able to read, write, understand, and communicate in English at a minimum of 8th grade proficiency
- Must have a positive and energetic attitude
- Must be physically active and capable of standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping all day
- Must be able to frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking, as well as after a fall
- Must be criminally cleared
Job Qualifications
- At least 16 years of age
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in English at an 8th-grade level or higher
- Positive and energetic attitude
- Experience in a hospitality or senior care environment is beneficial but not required
- Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and stoop throughout the shift
- Ability to lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds
- Ability to assist residents with mobility and post-fall support
Job Duties
- Greet residents and make them feel welcome in the dining area
- Prepare tables for service including salads and rolling silverware
- Bus tables and maintain cleanliness by sweeping floors and tidying the dining space
- Communicate with supervisors and wellness staff regarding residents' dietary habits and any unusual changes
- Assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking as needed
- Monitor resident attendance and report absences from meals
- Foster a friendly and engaging atmosphere to help residents connect and enjoy their meals
