Job Requirements

- ability to work day and early evening shifts
- availability to work every other weekend and holiday rotation
- ability to follow safety and sanitation standards
- good communication and interpersonal skills

Job Duties
- Serves meals and ensures that the dining area is clean and inviting
- follows meal serving schedule and procedures
- offers resident meal choices and meets resident’s specific dietary needs
- uses proper safety and sanitation techniques
- follows dining room cleaning schedule and procedures
- follow proper procedures for dining room set-up
- follows proper work flow to stay on task
- learns and becomes proficient with EMenu System and restaurant style service
- ensures all dishes including flatware, drinkware, etc. are washed, sanitized, and put away before end of shift
- promotes and encourages positive resident relations and satisfaction
- welcomes residents and initiates conversation
- accommodates resident requests such as requests for food substitution, change in seating, etc.
- listens to any complaints and responds appropriately, refers issues to Executive Director and Culinary Director as appropriate
