The available position at Schweitzer is a full-time seasonal role, specifically serving food and beverages to guests at Crow's Bench. This job requires individuals who can provide excellent customer service, demonstrating extensive menu and drink knowledge, and maintaining attentiveness to guests' needs to ensure an outstanding guest experience. Employees in this role are expected to be reliable, punctual, and capable of handling the dynamic demands of busy holiday periods, weekends, and evening shifts. The position encompasses a variety of responsibilities including handling transactions accurately, interpreting and enforcing Idaho State Liquor and identification laws, and maintaining cleanliness and organization within the dining area. Working as part of a collaborative team, employees assist with a range of duties from serving bottle service to performing opening and closing tasks such as polishing cutlery and vacuuming. Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 19 years old
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Willingness to work holidays, weekends, and evening shifts
  • Ability to work full-time seasonal schedule Sunday through Thursday
  • Must comply with Idaho State liquor laws
  • No background check required
  • No driver verification required

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum 6 months of food and beverage service experience
  • Demonstrated competence in customer service
  • Knowledge of wine preferred
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
  • Completion of Idaho Alcohol Awareness training (provided upon hire)
  • Proficiency with Point of Sale (POS) systems
  • Physical ability to stand and walk for shifts over 8 hours
  • Capability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds
  • Strong interpersonal and multitasking skills

Job Duties

  • Provide exceptional food, beer, liquor, and wine service to guests
  • Maintain accountability for personal cash bank and make change for guests
  • Interact extensively with guests ensuring friendly, professional, and accommodating service
  • Be punctual and reliable in attendance
  • Complete daily paperwork and reconcile transactions accurately
  • Enforce Idaho State Liquor and identification laws responsibly
  • Provide tableside bottle service for guests purchasing wine
  • Perform opening and closing duties including cleaning tasks
  • Work cohesively as a team to ensure guest satisfaction
  • Manage side work tasks while handling multiple tables
  • Assist with hostess and busser duties as needed
  • Demonstrate extensive menu knowledge and identify potential allergens to guide guest selections
