Job Description
CEC Entertainment, LLC, headquartered in Irving, Texas, is a nationally recognized leader in family dining and entertainment. The company operates iconic brands such as Chuck E. Cheese, Peter Piper Pizza, and Chuck's Arcade, providing welcoming and entertaining environments where kids and families can enjoy quality food, fun, and memorable experiences. With nearly 600 Chuck E. Cheese locations and over 120 Peter Piper Pizza venues across 45 states and 18 countries, CEC Entertainment has established itself as a trusted name in the casual dining and family entertainment sector. The business proudly emphasizes fostering joy and lasting memories, hosting over half a million birthdays annually and supporting community programs through donations exceeding $24 million to schools and nonprofits.
At Chuck E. Cheese, the mission centers on being the place 'Where a Kid Can Be a Kid®,' emphasizing a safe, family-friendly environment enriched by fun and play. Programs like Kid Check® demonstrate the company’s commitment to guest safety, while its accolades such as the "Best in STEM" award and recognition as one of America’s Greatest Workplaces in 2025 highlight CEC’s leadership in innovation and employee well-being. Peter Piper Pizza complements this mission by offering a neighborhood pizzeria atmosphere with quality food and engaging entertainment, promoting physical wellness and motor skill development in children. This inclusive and vibrant culture celebrates diversity, play, and community within a national and international footprint.
The Server role at Chuck E. Cheese is an essential position within this dynamic, family-oriented establishment. The job is designed for individuals seeking either their first job experience or an opportunity to build a rewarding career in hospitality. Servers at Chuck E. Cheese play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional guest service by ensuring food is delivered accurately and promptly to guests, creating an enjoyable dining experience aligned with the company's mission. This role encourages versatility and growth through cross-training in numerous positions, fostering a supportive environment where over 60% of managers are promoted from within the company.
Compensation for this position ranges from $16.00 to $17.00 hourly, complemented by a commission potential that rewards sales of Memberships and Fun Passes. The commission varies depending on employment classification—exempt employees can earn from $0.50 to $10.00 per Membership sold and $0.15 to $3.00 per Fun Pass sold. Non-exempt employees receive commissions from $2.00 to $8.00 per Membership and $0.60 to $2.40 per Fun Pass, with payments made bi-weekly unless state law dictates otherwise. Chuck E. Cheese also offers a unique "Work Today, Get Paid Tomorrow" program, enabling employees to access earned wages more quickly than the typical pay period.
The server position is ideal for candidates who value excellent customer service, possess an energetic personality, and thrive in a lively, fast-paced environment enhanced by flashing lights, mechanical attractions, and vibrant sounds. Essential physical requirements include the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform movements such as standing, bending, kneeling, and walking throughout shifts. The role emphasizes teamwork, interaction with diverse guests and coworkers, and the ability to work flexible shifts.
CEC Entertainment prides itself on its comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability coverage, and a 401(k) retirement savings plan for eligible employees. Additional perks include scholarships, employee referral programs, generous discounts on meals during shifts, and special assistance funds through the CEC Cares Fund designed to support employees in extraordinary circumstances.
As an Equal Opportunity Employer, CEC Entertainment commits to creating a workforce that reflects the diverse communities it serves and fosters an inclusive, respectful workplace. The company celebrates individuality and ensures fair treatment irrespective of race, gender identity, sexual orientation, veteran status, disability, or any other protected status under federal, state, or local law. This dedication to diversity and employee development makes Chuck E. Cheese a welcoming place for employees and families alike, reinforcing its standing as a leader in family entertainment and hospitality.
