The role of Server Assistant/Food Runner at Hyatt Regency Orlando is an exciting opportunity to join the fine dining team within one of the hospitality industry’s leading companies. This position involves supporting the restaurant staff by ensuring a seamless and efficient dining service. The Server Assistant/Food Runner will play a pivotal role in maintaining restaurant cleanliness, preparing tables, and swiftly delivering meals to guests while ensuring adherence to the highest presentation standards. The candidate will work closely with servers, bartenders, and kitchen staff to anticipate guest needs and create memorable dining experiences.

This role requires flexibility with scheduling, particularly evening availability beginning at 4 PM, as well as mandatory weekend shifts and adaptable weekday hours. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent communication skills, a guest-focused mindset, and the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Attention to detail, teamwork, and a positive attitude are essential qualities for excelling in this role.

Job Requirements

  • previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality role is preferred
  • must have flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • strong communication and teamwork skills with a guest-focused mindset
  • ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • must be able to lift and carry up to 30 lbs and stand for extended periods

Job Duties

  • work closely with servers to anticipate guest needs and enhance their dining experience
  • prepare tables with proper settings, maintain cleanliness during service, and promptly reset tables after guests depart
  • deliver dishes to tables accurately and efficiently, ensuring all items are served in a timely manner and meet the restaurant’s presentation standards
  • clear and clean tables, chairs, and dining areas throughout service
  • maintain organization in service stations, beverage areas, and kitchen pass-through
  • assist servers, bartenders, and kitchen staff to ensure smooth and efficient operations
  • restock supplies such as silverware, glassware, and linens, ensuring availability throughout the shift
