We are currently seeking dedicated Prep Cooks to join our dynamic kitchen staff. This role is crucial in supporting the culinary team by preparing ingredients, assisting with basic cooking tasks, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment. Offering both part-time and full-time positions with flexible shifts and hours, this opportunity is ideal for individuals who take pride in working efficiently and effectively under pressure. As a Prep Cook, your contributions will directly impact the smooth operation of the kitchen and the quality of the food that reaches our customers. In addition to food preparation, those with experience in serving will have the chance to interact with guests in a friendly and pleasant manner, perform side work such as cleaning and restocking, and assist in polishing silverware at the end of shifts. This comprehensive role requires adaptability, teamwork, and a commitment to cleanliness and organization within the kitchen workspace.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior kitchen or food preparation experience
  • ability to stand for long periods
  • flexibility to work various shifts including evenings and weekends
  • ability to follow instructions carefully
  • good physical stamina
  • friendly and cooperative attitude

Job Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a prep cook is preferred
  • ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately
  • strong organizational skills
  • good communication and teamwork abilities
  • experience in customer service is a plus
  • ability to work efficiently under pressure
  • knowledge of basic kitchen safety and hygiene practices

Job Duties

  • Follow recipes and prep lists accurately
  • prepare ingredients including chopping, slicing, and portioning
  • assist with basic cooking and kitchen tasks as needed
  • keep kitchen stocked, clean, and organized
  • support line cooks during busy service times
  • provide friendly and pleasant service at tables
  • perform side work including dusting, cleaning sections, and restocking to-go items
  • break down work areas and clean them properly
  • polish and roll all silverware at the end of shifts
