Job Description
Cooper's Hawk is a unique lifestyle brand that combines a Napa-style tasting room with wine-inspired retail, a full-service restaurant and bar, and private event spaces to create a modern-yet-casual dining experience. Established in 2005, Cooper's Hawk has developed one of the largest wine clubs in the world, offering members exclusive access to award-winning wines along with curated dining and travel experiences that embody the essence of Napa Valley. Located across various cities, Cooper's Hawk aims to bring a sophisticated yet approachable culinary and wine experience to its guests, blending hospitality with innovative service and a passion for wine and food pairing.
The role of a Server at Cooper's Hawk is crucial for delivering an exceptional guest experience by combining efficient, friendly service with in-depth knowledge of the menu, wines, and the Wine Club. As a team-based position, the Server works collaboratively with Bartenders, Hosts, and Food Runners to ensure guests receive a memorable and personalized dining experience. The Server is responsible not only for greeting and engaging guests with hospitality but also actively educating them on Cooper's Hawk menu items, wine selections, and the benefits of joining the esteemed Wine Club. This role is ideal for someone passionate about hospitality, food, and wine who enjoys sharing this enthusiasm with guests and is comfortable inviting them to become part of the Wine Club community.
This position offers flexible work schedules, including weekend and holiday shifts, and requires a candidate capable of standing and walking for up to 10 hours per shift as well as lifting up to 40 pounds. Beyond guest interaction, the Server is involved in the operational side of the restaurant, maintaining safety, sanitation, and organization in the work area, following checklists and procedures for smooth opening, mid-shift, or closing operations, and handling cash and POS transactions securely and accurately.
Cooper's Hawk values individuals who represent its core principles and thrive in a team-oriented environment. The establishment supports its team members with competitive pay, incentives, and generous benefits that contribute to both professional growth and personal well-being. Servers at Cooper's Hawk are encouraged to develop their knowledge through wine and culinary education and can advance their careers following a tailored career growth flight plan. This role offers more than just a job - it provides an opportunity to be part of a dynamic company dedicated to creating a lasting wine and dining experience that guests remember and want to repeat.
