Job Description
Red Robin is a renowned full-service casual dining restaurant chain widely celebrated for its unique atmosphere, exceptional customer service, and menu offerings centered around gourmet burgers. Established with a mission to make fresh, fun, and memorable dining experiences, Red Robin prides itself on its laid-back environment and quirky vibe that appeals to a diverse, inclusive customer base. The company fosters a culture of connection, generosity, and hospitality that reaches beyond just food, creating an inviting space where guests feel welcomed and valued. As an equal opportunity employer, Red Robin embraces diversity and encourages employees to bring their authentic selves to work. Known for its high-volume operations, the restaurant provides employees with tremendous growth opportunities, with many managerial positions filled from within the team. This underlines Red Robin’s commitment to career development and personal advancement within the organization.
The role of the Server at Red Robin is vital as part of the Front of House team. Servers act as the direct point of contact with guests, responsible for delivering timely and accurate order taking, serving food and beverages, and ensuring a positive dining experience that aligns with Red Robin’s brand promise of fun and memorable hospitality. This is not just a typical restaurant server role; it involves using handheld technology for order management and interacting with guests in a way that reflects unbridled energy and magnetic personalities. Servers are expected to provide excellent customer service, accommodating special requests, and maintaining the overall dining atmosphere. The position offers a competitive base pay of $11.41 per hour plus tips, with fantastic earning potential from gratuities.
Additionally, this role offers flexible work schedules, making it ideal for individuals balancing other commitments. Employees enjoy generous discounts on Red Robin food — 50% for themselves and 25% for their family members. The company also incentivizes teamwork and growth by providing referral bonuses for bringing new members to the team. Beyond immediate compensation, Red Robin offers a comprehensive benefits package including health insurance covering medical, vision, and dental care; supplemental coverage options such as accident, critical illness, and hospital indemnity insurance; and participation in an employee stock purchase program after one year of service. Servers aged 21 and older who meet the service requirements can also benefit from the company’s 401k plan with a competitive company match, and paid time off accrual periods to support work-life balance.
Red Robin encourages applicants who share a passion for hospitality and are eager to contribute to a vibrant team culture. The restaurant embraces an ongoing application process, highlighting its dynamic and ever-growing workforce needs. This position is not only an opportunity to earn competitive wages but also to grow within a company with a clear mission: to make fresh food, deliver fun and memorable experiences, and above all, to make guests smile. Becoming a Server at Red Robin means joining a team dedicated to providing an exceptional dining experience and fostering a sense of belonging among both employees and guests alike.
