The role of Server at Jack Allen's Kitchen is a full-time position based in Austin, TX, that offers an exciting opportunity for individuals who are energetic, positive, and passionate about food, beverages, and hospitality. In this pivotal role, the Server is accountable for maintaining their section of tables efficiently and promoting an exceptional dining experience for all guests. Responsibilities include running food and beverages to guests promptly, restocking plates and glassware, and ensuring adherence to the restaurant's food, beverage, and service policies. Servers are expected to collect payments accurately and meet the timing standards established to maintain smooth operations.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of full-service restaurant experience
  • Must be TABC certified
  • Must have Texas Food Handlers Certification
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, and carry up to 30 lbs
  • Eligible to work in the United States

Job Qualifications

  • 1 - 2 years full-service restaurant experience
  • TABC certified and Texas Food Handlers Certification
  • Works well under pressure while handling simultaneous activities and maintaining a positive attitude
  • Strong communication skills with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn our way of doing things
  • Must have a love for food, beverages, and hospitality

Job Duties

  • Provide exceptional customer service
  • Anticipate and address guests wants and needs
  • Demonstrate menu knowledge and sales skills
  • answer guest questions and make suggestions
  • Communicate with staff and management regarding guests and restaurant needs
  • Maintain standards of food and beverage quality and standards of service
  • Support fellow FOH and BOH staff in duties as needed
  • Practice proper sanitation procedures and follow regulations regarding alcohol sale and service
