This particular job opening is for a Guest Service Expert at W Hotels in Dallas. This is a full-time, non-management position within the Food and Beverage & Culinary category. The role is based on-site, requiring physical presence at the hotel. The hourly pay rate is $8.00, and the position is tip eligible, adding potential earning opportunities beyond the base pay. As a Guest Service Expert, the primary responsibility is not just to serve food and drinks but to create memorable experiences for guests. This role involves a wide range of activities including setting tables, communicating effectively with the kitchen staff, interacting warmly with guests, serving with a friendly demeanor, and ensuring cleanliness and orderliness of work areas and supplies. These actions collectively contribute to making guest transactions part of a unique and enjoyable experience.

The Guest Service Expert plays a critical role in upholding safety standards, following company policies and procedures, and maintaining high-quality service standards. Uniform and personal appearance standards are to be adhered to, ensuring that communication with guests and colleagues is professional at all times. The job is physically demanding, requiring the ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods, sometimes on uneven or slippery surfaces. The role also involves manual tasks like lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling objects weighing up to 25 pounds independently and up to 50 pounds with assistance. It requires flexibility to bend, twist, reach overhead and below the knees, stoop, and perform other physical actions. Success in this role is essential for delivering outstanding guest experiences and supporting the business goals of W Hotels and Marriott International.

Preferred qualifications for this role include a high school diploma or equivalent, with less than one year of related work experience and no supervisory experience required. This makes the role accessible to entry-level candidates who are eager to start or develop a career in the hospitality industry. Marriott International promotes a culture of respect, diversity, and continuous improvement, encouraging employees to become the best version of themselves in a supportive and dynamic environment.
