Job Description

MBK Senior Living is a distinguished senior living provider with over 30 years of experience delivering exceptional Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Memory Care services across the Western United States. Operating 35 senior living communities, MBK Senior Living has gained national recognition for its commitment to quality and excellence, having been ranked among the Top 50 "Best Workplaces in Aging Services" by Fortune magazine and certified as a "Great Place to Work" by the Great Place to Work Institute since 2017. The company prioritizes a culture that blends compassion with high standards, investing heavily in its team members' professional development and overall well-being. With a philosophy rooted in the Japanese concept 'Yoi Shigoto' meaning good, quality work, MBK Senior Living drives a unique and inspirational work environment that fosters trust, respect, and growth.

The Server role at MBK Senior Living is a vital position focused on ensuring dining experiences that are both pleasant and positive for residents, their families, and visitors. This full-time, part-time, or flexible position pays between $17 and $18 per hour and operates primarily from Friday through Monday during evening shifts. The server is responsible for providing superior customer service in an atmosphere centered on hospitality and high-quality service. Key responsibilities include taking and serving meal orders, assisting residents with menu selections, ensuring the cleanliness and sanitary condition of dining areas, and fostering a welcoming and inclusive environment for all residents, especially newcomers.

This role is much more than simply serving food; it involves attentiveness to individual dietary needs as directed by supervisors, tracking meal attendance, and actively contributing to a supportive team atmosphere. The Server also plays an integral part in community marketing efforts by upholding company grooming and dress standards and interacting positively with residents and other stakeholders. MBK Senior Living supports its Servers with robust training programs, including dining room courses, mentorship, and ongoing professional coaching. The position demands a high level of physical mobility, including standing for extended periods, bending, pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 40 pounds.

Joining MBK Senior Living means becoming part of a team that values impact, personal growth, and career advancement, with additional benefits such as education loan assistance, financial and legal services, team member discounts, and comprehensive health and wellness resources. Full-time employees gain access to rich benefits packages including medical, dental, vision insurance, 401(k) matching, childcare, eldercare assistance, and flexible spending accounts. This role offers a wonderful opportunity for individuals looking to make a meaningful difference in the lives of senior residents while developing their careers in a thriving, compassionate community setting.
