About this role, as a server at Wagamama, you play a pivotal role in delivering a warm, engaging, and efficient dining experience. You act as the ambassador of the Wagamama brand, bringing the menu to life by guiding guests through bold pan-Asian flavors with authenticity and enthusiasm. Your role involves ensuring accuracy, proper pacing, and genuine hospitality within a fast-paced, team-driven environment. As a server, you will be responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere that reflects the unique culture of Wagamama while building personal rapport with guests. The position demands attentiveness, professionalism, and a proactive approach toward guest needs and feedback. You will be expected to have comprehensive knowledge of the diverse menu items, confidently recommend dishes, and communicate clearly about dietary restrictions and allergen information. Job Duties

  • deliver warm, energetic, and personable guest service while creating a welcoming wagamama dining experience
  • create a welcoming and energetic atmosphere that reflects the wagamama brand
  • build rapport with guests and ensure each interaction feels personal and attentive
  • regularly check in with guests to anticipate needs and deliver an exceptional experience
  • handle guest feedback or concerns professionally and escalate when needed
  • demonstrate strong knowledge of pan-asian dishes, ingredients, and flavor profiles
  • confidently guide guests through the menu, including unfamiliar items and shared dining styles
  • provide thoughtful recommendations and engage in suggestive selling to enhance the guest experience
  • clearly communicate dietary restrictions, allergens, and modifications with accuracy
  • accurately enter orders into pos systems, ensuring all modifications and special requests are clear
  • coordinate with back-of-house teams to ensure proper pacing and timely delivery of food
  • verify order accuracy before serving and maintain awareness of table progress throughout the meal
  • keep your section clean, organized, and visually appealing at all times
  • maintain tables through proper clearing, resetting, and overall upkeep
  • complete opening, side work, and closing duties to standard
  • foster strong communication between front-of-house and back-of-house teams
  • encourage positive interaction between kitchen staff and guests in alignment with wagamama's open, inclusive culture
  • support teammates during high-volume service periods
