We are currently seeking an energetic and motivated Server to join our front-of-house team. The Server will play a crucial role in maintaining a pleasant dining experience by providing professional, friendly, and attentive service to all guests. The primary responsibility of this role is to greet guests warmly before, during, and after meal periods, ensuring that their needs are anticipated and met promptly. Servers must be capable of standing and walking for extended periods, managing physical tasks such as carrying plates and trays, and efficiently taking and delivering orders. This position requires a positive disposition, patience, punctuality, and excellent communication skills as the Server interacts directly with guests and coordinates with kitchen staff to fulfill special requests. The Server will use the restaurant's POS system (TOAST) to enter orders accurately, alert guests to any modifications or availability issues, and ensure that billed checks correspond correctly to their table. Attention to cleanliness and organization is vital, as is the ability to adhere to uniform and personal appearance standards.

Job Requirements

  • Must be able to stand, walk, and stay on feet for prolonged periods
  • Must be able to carry plates, dishes, and trays weighing up to nine pounds continuously
  • Must be able to lift up to twenty-five pounds
  • Must be able to write and use POS system requiring repetitive motion
  • Must be courteous, smile frequently, and maintain a cheerful disposition
  • Must be punctual and wear proper uniform at all times
  • Must maintain a neat and clean appearance
  • Must maintain Food Handlers Certification
  • Must be willing to work overtime if needed
  • Must be a team player willing to take ownership of the entire restaurant
  • Must complete all side works before finishing shift

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Greet all guests in a professional and friendly way before, during and after the meal period
  • Be punctual and wear proper uniform at all times
  • Approach guests within two minutes of being seated and introduce yourself
  • Offer beverages and announce specials per meal period
  • Take accurate food orders, repeat orders back to guests and communicate any item shortages
  • Enter orders into POS system making sure all modifications are included
  • Communicate with kitchen staff regarding special requests or modifications
  • Check back with guests to offer beverage refills and update on any kitchen delays
  • Maintain a cheerful attitude and keep work areas clean and organized
  • Report equipment failures or supply shortages to management
  • Take breaks on time and return promptly
  • Work overtime if needed
  • Ensure guest checks are accurate and approved by management for changes
  • Be a team player and participate in all restaurant duties including food runs and station transitions
  • Maintain current Food Handlers Certification
  • Complete all side work before shift end and collect tips
