As part of a growing fast-casual dining concept known for its warm, welcoming atmosphere and hearty American meals, the Saint George Black Bear Diner location is committed to creating a dining experience that is not only enjoyable but memorable. The position available is for Servers who play a critical role in delivering excellent customer service that encourages guests to return. Servers at this establishment have a reputation for earning commissions ranging from 20 to 30 percent, making it a lucrative opportunity for motivated individuals who excel in a fast-paced dining environment. The role requires a friendly, prompt, and personalized approach in serving guests, ensuring that each dining experience is positive and inviting. Servers welcome and greet guests, inform them about specials and featured items, answer questions regarding menu items and restaurant services, and take accurate food and beverage orders.
This job involves using a point-of-sale system to enter orders and requires efficiency in delivering food and beverages to tables promptly. Servers also support overall restaurant operations by running food orders from the pick-up window, performing side work at the start and end of shifts, and maintaining clean service areas. Monitoring guest satisfaction throughout their dining experience and responding courteously to requests ensure high levels of guest contentment.
Additionally, Servers are responsible for preparing and presenting bills in a timely manner, cleaning and resetting tables and chairs, and assisting fellow servers as needed. The role demands physical stamina to stand for long periods and the ability to safely handle items weighing up to 10 pounds. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience in customer service or food service helpful
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- Physically able to stand and lift during shifts
- Basic math skills required
- Willingness to learn and follow restaurant policies and procedures
