La Popular is a vibrant, chef-driven Mexican restaurant concept that originated in Mexico City, widely recognized as one of the world’s most dynamic culinary hubs. The current opportunity is for a Guest Service Team Member who plays an essential role in creating an exceptional dining experience. This position is non-exempt and reports directly to the General Manager. The role focuses on greeting guests, ensuring they feel welcome, and delivering attentive, personable, and efficient service from the moment they arrive until their departure. With an emphasis on collaboration and communication, this position requires interfacing effectively with both front-of-house and kitchen teams to facilitate smooth, high-quality service. Working as a Guest Service Team Member at La Popular involves a range of essential tasks such as managing take-out orders, utilizing the point-of-sale system efficiently, maintaining thorough knowledge of menu and beverage offerings, and delivering food and drink orders accurately. The team member will sanitize tables, polish silverware, restock condiments, assist with seating guests, answer the telephone, and support opening and closing duties. This role requires compliance with all employee handbook policies, adherence to safety and state alcohol service laws, and a strong focus on guest satisfaction and professionalism. Physical demands include prolonged standing, bending, lifting, and working in a sometimes loud and physically demanding restaurant environment. Overall, this position is ideal for individuals who thrive in fast-paced settings, enjoy working collaboratively, and are passionate about delivering excellent guest experiences in Mexican cuisine.
