Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous server experience in a high-volume outdoor dining setting preferred
- Ability to work in high-temperature outdoor conditions
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods
- Ability to lift and move lightweight furniture
- Proficiency with POS systems required, preferably Toast POS
- Valid Food Handlers Certificate
- Current TABC certification
- Flexible availability including weekends and evenings
Job Qualifications
- Previous experience as a server in a high-volume restaurant setting preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in POS systems, experience with Toast POS is an asset
- Ability to upsell and suggest menu items
- Valid Food Handlers Certificate or ability to obtain
- Current TABC certification or ability to obtain
- Ability to maintain high energy in a fast-paced outdoor environment
Job Duties
- Warmly welcome guests and communicate menu items and daily specials
- Utilize suggestive selling techniques to enhance dining experience and increase check averages
- Accurately take and input food and beverage orders using the Toast POS system
- Communicate effectively with kitchen and bar teams
- Manage assigned section efficiently and practice pre-bussing to maintain clean dining space
- Assist with rapid clearing and resetting of tables to minimize guest wait times
- Serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks adhering to local laws
- Ensure timely refills for guests
- Proactively assist with weather-related logistics such as seating adjustments to ensure guest comfort
