Job Requirements

  • ability to stand and/or walk throughout entire shift and work in restaurant environment
  • ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • ability to talk or hear in person and by telephone
  • ability to use hands to finger, handle, feel or operate restaurant equipment
  • adherence to company uniform and grooming policies
  • alcohol certification
  • food handler's certificate as required
  • basic math and communication skills
  • high school diploma or equivalent preferred

Job Duties

  • Know and follow posted schedule and strict adherence to posted clock in/out times
  • adhere to company uniform and grooming policies
  • provide timely and courteous service to guests in assigned stations and throughout the restaurant
  • maintain thorough knowledge of menu items, wines, beers, and cocktails
  • adhere to company, state, and county sanitation standards
  • maintain a clean and organized workstation
  • maintain friendly, helpful, positive attitude
  • follow restaurant operating policies and steps of service
  • welcome and greet guests following established service guidelines
  • assist fellow team members in meeting guest needs
  • answer questions and make recommendations about food, beverages, features, and other restaurant functions
  • understand and follow correct process for serving guests with allergens
  • take and confirm food and beverage orders and correctly enter into the point-of-sale system
  • follow alcohol awareness procedures to prevent guest intoxication and notify management as needed
  • deliver food and beverages to guests
  • assist other bartenders and servers in cooperative service
  • monitor and observe guests' dining experience to ensure satisfaction
  • pre-bus tables and respond promptly and courteously to requests
  • prepare final bill, present check, accept payment and process transactions
  • thank guests for their visit and invite them to return
  • participate in clearing and resetting tables
  • assist other servers, BOH team, and counter/bartenders as needed
  • perform all assigned side work and cleaning duties
  • carry out other duties as assigned by management
  • attend all company meetings and training seminars as required
  • perform duties in compliance with company's employee handbook and performance standards
  • keep immediate supervisor informed of guest service issues and take corrective action
  • treat all guests, team members, and managers with respect and courtesy
  • maintain a friendly and cooperative attitude
  • portray a favorable image of the restaurant at all times
  • perform related tasks assigned by restaurant management
