Job Description

The Server 2 position at Invited plays a pivotal role in maintaining and elevating the standard of food and beverage service that members and guests have come to expect. This role is not only about serving food and drinks but also about being a leader within the service team. As a senior member of the server team, Server 2 ensures that the impeccable service standards set forth in Invited’s food and beverage training programs are consistently upheld throughout the dining experience. The position requires overseeing the daily coordination and execution of service operations, guaranteeing prompt, attentive, and seamless service delivery.

This role involves managing and supporting the Server 1 team, acting as the primary point of contact to guide, mentor, and assist junior servers in delivering outstanding dining experiences. Server 2 is responsible for in-depth knowledge of the à la carte menus and daily specials and depends on this expertise to help effectively communicate these offerings to members and guests while encouraging smooth collaboration across the entire dining floor. By fostering teamwork, addressing service challenges, and ensuring efficient workflow throughout shifts, Server 2 significantly contributes to member satisfaction, retention, and overall service excellence.

In addition to service delivery, this position includes responsibilities such as assisting with side work and maintaining well-stocked, clean workstations in compliance with club standards. Server 2 plays a key role in service recovery, actively listening to members' and guests' concerns and resolving issues promptly with professionalism and empathy. This role also entails collaboration with management to assign duties effectively, monitor service progress, and support broader team goals.

Job Requirements

  • Must be able to stand walk and perform physical activities for extended periods
  • Ability to work in varying temperatures and environments
  • Capable of climbing ladders squatting kneeling reaching grasping twisting bending and folding/unfolding as required
  • Able to lift carry push and pull up to 100 lbs occasionally
  • Effective communication skills including talking hearing and sufficient visual acuity
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in food and beverage service
  • Current food handler and alcohol server certifications as required by state and city regulations
